Description
A turned wooden column at the centre, iron arms curving out to candle-style holders, and a chain to hang it from. This is the French country chandelier, in black iron with natural wood or in a whitewashed retro finish, from a six-arm dining size up to a fifteen-light two-tier piece.
French Country Scale for a Dining Room or a Hall
The six and eight-light versions are the dining table sizes: 61cm and 81cm across, 47cm tall, hung on an adjustable chain of up to a metre. The ten-light version keeps the 81cm spread with more candles for a larger table. The twelve and fifteen-light versions are two-tier, 65cm tall, for a double-height hall, a stairwell or a long farmhouse table. In black, the iron arms are dark against a natural wood column; in retro white, arms and column are whitewashed for a lighter, weathered look. E14 candle bulbs finish the effect, and dimmable ones let a room go from supper to candlelight.
