A Quiet Halo Above a Table or a Bed

The ring format works because it has almost no visual weight. Seen head on it is a narrow oval; seen edge on it nearly disappears. The LED sits inside the ring and faces inward, so the light is thrown across the opening and down onto whatever is beneath, without a bright point to catch your eye. That makes it easy to hang low, which is where it looks best: dropped over one end of a dining table, above a bedside where a table lamp has nowhere to sit, or in a pair down a hallway. It comes as a single ring or as two rings on one canopy, hung at staggered heights, which covers a longer table without adding a second fitting. The brass finish reads warm against cream and timber; the black version disappears against a darker wall and leaves only the halo.
