Description
A flared shade of clear ribbed acrylic with a scalloped edge, sitting on a slim polished chrome stem and a weighted round base. It runs on a battery and dims from a touch, so it belongs on a dinner table as much as on a bedside.
The Flared One, on Chrome
Of the three shades in this family, the scalloped is the widest and the most open: 16cm across, flaring out like a small parasol, with a wavy edge that catches the light along its rim. The chrome base is the cooler choice, right beside glass, marble, white ceramics and stainless steel. Set it between two wine glasses on a dining table, on a bar cart, on a bathroom shelf or a windowsill. Tap the base once to move between cool, neutral and warm light; hold it to dim from full brightness down to a fifth. Charge it over USB-C and carry it wherever the evening goes.
