Marble Drum Pendant Light Korane

A small drum of veined white marble, wrapped in a dark walnut finish band and hung on a slim cord. Switched on, the stone glows from inside and its veins show through; the band stays dark and frames the light.

Stone That Glows From Inside

Marble is usually seen lit from the front. Here the bulb sits inside the shade, so the light passes through the stone and brings out every vein in warm amber and grey. The dark band around the middle hides the bulb from view and lets the light out above and below it. The shade is compact, 16cm wide and 15cm tall, which makes it right for places where a large pendant would be too much: over a kitchen island in a row of two or three, low beside a bed in place of a bedside lamp, or above a small dining table. The cord is 200cm long and is shortened at installation, on a 12cm ceiling cup. It takes one E27 bulb.
