Description
Fine curved slats of wood form a wide, low dome, 43cm across, and the light escapes between them in soft lines that fall across the table and the walls. Switched off it reads as a piece of joinery; switched on it fills the room with a warm, patterned glow.
Warm Wood Over the Table
A glass or metal shade throws light straight down; a slatted wood shade softens it. The gaps between the slats let the bulb glow through without glare, so the light over a dining table feels calm rather than bright, and the wood itself turns honey-coloured when lit.
