Pleats That Turn a Flat Disc Into Bands of Light
An unribbed round sconce lights as a flat bright disc, which is the least interesting thing a wall light can do. Here the ribbed acrylic diffuser catches and scatters the output, breaking it into soft vertical bands so the face reads as jewel like rather than blank. The aluminium body is solid and sits flush to the wall, with the lamp wired directly into the supply, so there is no trailing cable and nothing interrupts the clean circular silhouette.
