A porch light that does not glare at the person arriving. This outdoor down wall light throws its beam straight down the wall, so the doorstep is lit and the fitting itself stays dark.
Light on the Doorstep, Not in Your Eyes
The whole point of a downward fitting is where the light lands. The LED is recessed inside the housing and aimed at the ground, so you get a clean blade of light down the brickwork and a bright pool at the threshold, with nothing shining back at head height. That matters on a front door, at a garage or along a patio wall where an ordinary lantern simply dazzles. The body is aluminium with a black baked finish and it is sealed to IP65, so rain and a British winter leave it alone. Two sizes let you match the fitting to the wall: 35 cm for a standard front door or a garage side wall, 42 cm where the wall is broad and a small fitting would look lost.
