Fabric softens a lamp in a way glass never does. This handmade fabric pendant light is built from individually shaped panels stitched into a sculptural shade, so the light leaves it warm and diffuse rather than direct.
A Soft Sculptural Shade for Dining and Living Rooms
The shade is assembled by hand, which is what gives it its slightly irregular silhouette; no two read exactly alike from the same angle. Lit, the cloth glows rather than glares, and the shaped panels cast quiet shadows across their own surface, so the pendant is worth looking at whether it is on or off. Hung low over a dining table it draws the room around the table without flooding it. In a living room or a bedroom it works better as a soft ceiling presence, high enough to clear the eye line.
